quick question before i downgarde

i have a japan white psp, curently running 2.6 im planing on uping to 2.71 and then down to 1.5 so i dont need the gta game... i think...

my question is i think i read somewhere that i should use the firmware released for my consoles region i.e. japan. is this correct? also, if i do so can i change the language to english still?

any sugestions / concerns please feel free to lay em on me

hmm interseting, ive got a UK (or Europe) psp with v2.60 on it, is it possible as zipo said to upgrade then downdate without GTA game?!

use the japanese 2.71 upgrader, dont go to 1.5. if u got a ta-082 then just use the tutorial for how to run iso/cso games. its stickied.

and what about changing the language? i dont speak japanese and thus cant read it, can i change it to english on the jap firmware?

well, i suggest you downgrade to 1.5 and install custom firmware in it. this is because custom firmware have recovery mode which recover your psp is you messing with flash0. so u suddently delete something in flash0 using x-flash or other apps, u can recover it back from brick.
