Just want some opinions from other PSP users that's already upgraded to this....

Yea it won't load the XMB if you flash the icons. I got mad so I copied the 3.03 OE-C flash0 back over my 3.1 OE-A files and reverted back to OE-C without havin to do recovery. I did this on accident and it worked fine so I guess I'm good to go until they fix flashing.

I was just thinking of this a sec ago.. I was like.. Could that be possible... So you just copied your new version firmware flash0 on top of your 3.01 flas0 and you.. got 3.03 oe-C?

Id love to try it myself... but risky. good to know though.

Yes my PSP is a 3.1 OE-A with 3.03 OE-C abilities. I have a custom gameboot, icons, font, and everything works fine. Ofcourse in my system settings it tells me that I'm 3.03 OE-C but because my idstorage is still 3.1 configured I'm technically at 3.1 OE-A. Im scared to do anything else tho because I don't know what the repurccusions of downgrading to 1.5 and back up to OE-C will be. But my PSP is running great at the moment so yea.

::EDIT:: I was just reading your post mime and no I didn't copy 3.03 OE-C flash0 over 3.01 I copied it over 3.1 OE-A's flash0. Unless all you did was make a mistake in typing your message.

Thanks for all the replies!! Well i think i'm just gonna hang with OE-C until they have something that makes some of my psx games play a little better. Like Soul Reaver. Only think that i see the difference is that you can adjust the screen brightness. I could really care less about this.

i just upgraded and playing FF7 i notice that some of the small glitches that it had before are gone now. definitely worth giving up my icons for graphical improvements imo. besides, small things like that will be fixed in 3.1 oe-b. i'd really like to be able to put my 480x272 AVC files in the normal video folder instead of having to use the one in the MP_ROOT folder so i could give them normal names.

are you talking about the fight sequence start? I noticed that one. I only got to about disc 2 before switching to Legend of Dragoon...and it runs perfectly. no freezes, or anything like that. FFVII looks better on the big screen in my opinion. This is why i still own my original copy. Again thanks to everyone.

3.10oe isn't worth the time downgrading since it is al most the same as 3.03oe c
