Hello everyone. Like this title says, I'm considering on buying a PSP. I have two questions.

My first question is this. If I were to buy a PSP from Walmart or EB, what are the chances that it would not be downgradeable. Obviously, its completely random, but I'd like to know if Sony has been manufacturing PSPs with the latest firmware for a while.

My second question is if I manage to downgrade my future PSP's firmware, is it true that I would not be able to play some of the newer released games until a mod is released for a more up to date firmware?

Thank you for any input or help.

well if you get it at eb games or walmart they are all 2.71 firmware which is downgradeable so your fine and your second question now you can play all the games since they have created custom firmware that lets you run the latest firmware and lets you play homebrew.

Excellent. One more question that I forgot to ask.

It is easy to brick your PSP? I'm somewhat technologically handicap when it comes to stuff like this.
