Problem with config menu FW 3.40 oe

I've had custom firmware 3.40 for a while and it never gave me problems until now my psp acts like its in the jap region and I wanted to take that off so problem is everytime I try to enter to config menu it stay in a blank screen same color background but no menu I tried everything I've read on the forums and nothing works. I reflashed 3.40 oe on multiple occasions and then I tried downgrading to 1.50 and then back to 3.40 oe formated memstick and then restore to factory default and nothing and I am so frutrated and don't know what to do anymore. need big help I'd appreciated.
Can I ever fix this?!?!

Edit: (sigh) I give up I'm stuck with a jap region psp.
2nd edit: Nevermine I somehow fixed it, I left the psp on the recovery menu all night and I was able to get in it this morning thnanks for the help I was gettin desperate.

reflash 3.40oe.. if not use the Search button on how to fix the Configuration Menu on 3.40oe

Well I have been looking for the solution for a week, and being as the problem is with the firmware I thought I could find the answer under this category (PSP Custom Firmware) never really expected it to be under this one (Sony Psp homebrew). Well anyways thanks this could come in handy when ever it happens again.
