Hi, first of all I like to introduce my self to the forums; I'm an enthusiast of the hacking scene in many consoles and I don't like spaming or asking questions that might of been answered, but since I didn't find what I'm looking for, I'm here to discuss and get ppl's advices.

    Thx.

I have a psp that freezes after the Sony Intro after the wave animation wants to end, seems that right before it loads the xmb contents is when it Happens. This is not my psp and a friend asked me to help him out, we don't know what firmware version it might have.

I ranned into a similar situation when trying to use the wallpaper hack to load a 2.71 HEN back when the downgrade wasn't possible, and 0okm released some files to fix it, it had to do removing the wallpaper that loaded the exploit.

This isn't the deal since this psp didn't show attempts of a hack or such.

My Idea is this: Have the Unpatched GTA:LCS run eLoader 0.99, have FileAssistant 0.44 to work, since it's all appart from the xmb, and might have the chance to delete wallpaper, and registry files from flash1, and see if it could work out, but that would need the psp firmware to be from 2.00 to 2.60 tops, so that eloader works and I do this trick.

I don't have GTA:LCS yet, and it's why I'm here, to ask for any other advices or comments I can get from ppl that are experienced or might of been through this.

Note: Nothing can be done in XMB since the main menu doesn't load up and the psp shuts off after 15 seconds of freeze. But all UMD discs will load if inserted before you power on the psp.

    hmm, sounds interesting.

Hardware Issue. Well, I looked around "youtube" and didn't find anything related to a fix, I did find a video of a psp with the same issue, but not a video fix.

Be nice to at least find an image pointing out where the solder work needs to be done.

    thx btw.

JUST A QUICK EDIT: so I don't double post, you say something about the UMD drive it might being deffective or something needs to be either soldered or desoldered........but how come all UMD games play just fine? Of course, if you have the UMD in drive before you power on the psp and the XMB tries to load up.
