Yup, upgrade to 3.40 OE-A or 3.52 M33-2 and you'll be fine.

08-10-2007, 12:55 PM I am running 3.03 OE-C which is fine for most games (iso) but it seems like the new games are not not working and produce the 80020148 error.
Should I be using a newer firmware version?

08-10-2007, 02:50 PM I had 3.40 OE-A for a while, loved it. Then yesterday I decided to upgrade to 3.52 M33-2. Both upgrades are easy. Choose what ever one you want, it doesn't really matter. I would go with 3.52 M33-2 by now. It's the latest and it's just as stable as 3.40 OE-A.

08-10-2007, 05:09 PM yes its easy to go back to any firmware you want, also it makes your psp have less chance to fully brick.
These firmware include a recovery menu that you can reach at anytime. Also the recovery menu has a function that lets you restore back to 1.5 firmware with ease (if you have the file 1.5 eboot), you can then upgrade again to whichever firmware you would like.
