Well you need to first know what motherboard it is first..
Then you use the correct 2.71 Downgrader, either TA-082 for TA-082 psp's or the Generic downgrader for non ta-082 psp's.

09-01-2007, 08:07 PM hi my mate just bought a 2.71 is there anyway he can downgrade it im not sure if its a ta082 motherborad or not but is it possible to downgrade his 2.71 fw psp and how cheers

09-02-2007, 06:06 AM IC1003 - CHECK on or open ur UMD drive if you see that no. on your green motherboard then its TA-082 then u could downgrade to 1.5fw... just follow all the good links in the thread...
