    I have 2 questions:

    I upgraded to 3.71.
    1: Why can't I get into Flash0? Is Sony changing the partition makeup of Flash0 to keep us from copying files, by chance?

    2: In my Flash1, I have some text file in updater folder that appeared mysteriously. What does the info in the file mean, and can it have any significance to us? It's a pretty long file.. Here are the first few lines...

    BEGIN UPDATE
    src=271, dst=371
    type='ms'
    b9a2599c53fce0f3e68b176f586272e9fffffcf7,ffffffff 10408
    a06819e6bbf0201277eabb432bd7f6f9fffffcf7,ffffffff 19389
    d8891be18534bb65be465f86b0596abcfffffcf7,ffffffff 45184
    ed70bf1ce2c3d0f31b72f02149672cfafffffcf7,ffffffff 1581700
    7be8ecd752030f821bb496c43f4e3a2ffffffcf7,ffffffff 394192
    1eca20d9dbb2ac36d52a04a3a2241f70fffffcf7,ffffffff 69108
    2b07293f27ad44750395b18fb45847f5fffffcf7,ffffffff 65124
    7e9d316deb16c3660cbd1fa489125870fffffcf7,ffffffff 72948
    43ecc63f95ede8413c4a416bd56a161bfffffcf7,ffffffff 67700

    And it keeps going for quite a while ...
    2 completely worthless questions, I'm just curious to know what is going on inside my PSP

    I'm not stuck, per say. I can use Pandora, that is how I got into Flash1 on 3.71, mind you. I was only updating to explore experimentations.

    After I updated, my Pandora BootMenu (that new Pandora mode thingy) broke, and it was only loading into the 1.50 XMB. I re-decrypted the files, and replace all of the text files and such, but I keep having the same problem. The downgrade and unbrick mode still works, but not the BootMenu. I am confused as to what the heck is going on. I think extreme caution should be exercised with this update - I think Sony is trying to break compatibility with Pandora. I think this, because my PSP was working fine until I updated, then my BootMenu broke. It just doesn't make sense...

    V. 0.8, which as far as I am aware, is the latest version.

    Another complete retry, it did the same thing, it did not load the boot menu, and went straight to memory stick XMB. Pandora DOES still work, ohwever, and I can upgrade and downgrade still, with no problems.

    I think the most interesting change is how the Flash0 is suddenly unreadable by a computer, my computer offered to format it. It was seeing it, possibly thou as a different type of partition. I Think Sony changed the partition type. It used to be FAT, but I can't get back to that state to analize the Flash0 partition sectors. I remember saying before how Sony can change the BIOS calls, and manipulate data using the BIOS to control flow of information to and from the memory stick. Somehow, I feel this may have been intentional through the update. To be sure thou, I will buy yet another PSP to test my findings. I have to know.

    this is why people do not need to run out and take an official update from sony let the hackers take a look at it 1st and see what sony is doing...

    Your not using the official pandoras battery thats why, you are using a custom made boot menu which probably fucked up.. And why would sony let us access to flash0, you think they want us there? Are you retarded?

    Re-make and use the ORIGINAL pandora's battery creator from team C+D and NO EASY INSTALLER.

    You are correct, however, anyone who knew me from PSP General, on the official Sony boards, knows that I used to tell people that Sony can patch the PSP at the core level, the BIOS system. I have a video that can prove that I was right. You can watch the video and make your own conclusion, however.

    To answer your first comment, I am running original Pandora's menu, and it still works. I was using BootMenu as an additional addon, which I have confirmed working on a new PSP, but not my older PSP that I updated. Also, I don't doubt Sony wants to keep us out of the Flash0, that wasn't my point, they are stepping up security more and changed the partition layout of Flash0, that was what my point was. I am not retarded, do not insult me, I have thought this through logically!

    In terms of remaking Pandora, I don't need to, it still works. I have not had any problems with Pandora, except now, I cannot restore my NAND backup like I was able to before. This also, is part of the problem I am having.

    Don't worry, I'm not upset. I just find it funny how the Flash0 isn't recognised by my computer with the latest update, and is when I downgrade. Are you certain that they didn't change Flash0's makeup?

    in the slim: vsh, nodule and recourse folders have been hidden and are classified as system files. to view them u need to run a little msdos command. Nothing liek that in the phat has happened yet

    2: pandora's extended bootmenu has LOTS of bugs, its not the full version yet: (0.8).
