Hey guys...admittedly, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to psp modding. I've been using 3.40 oe the last few months and I just updated to 3.52-3 and then to 3.71 m33. To make a long story short, when I try to load a game iso now, I'm getting a 80010002 error (game could not be started). I've tried changing settings in the recovery menu and there is a UMD in the drive, but no luck yet. Just to review, when I updated, I copied the UPDATE folder to the psp and then downloaded sony's 3.71 eboot.pbp from the sony site. Then renamed it 371.pbp and copied it to the UPDATE folder. Then I updated and the psp system info shows 3.71 m33 as the firmware.

Meanwhile, my recovery menu settings are the following:

    skip sony logo (enabled)
    hide corrupt icons (disabled)
    game folder homebrew (3.71 kernel)
    autorun program (disabled)
umd mode (normal - umd required)
    fake region (disabled)
    free umd region (enabled)
    hard reset (disabled)
    use vshmenu (disabled)
    xmb usb device (memory stick)

As usual, I just put the .iso file in the ISO folder. This is a Euro iso if that makes any difference (changing to europe didn't make a diff).

Anyway maybe I'm missing something small, but if you guys could help me figure out why my games aren't loading I'd appreciate it. I know there's a thread on this kind of thing, but I wasn't sure whether it was related the firmware version or anything (again, noobness showing up).

    Thanks!

P.S., after updating to 3.52 m33, 3.52 m33-3, and 3.71 m33, I deleted the folders with the utilities in them. Is that ok?

Well, I tried that and it didn't work. I'm going to try a different iso and see what happens.

ok, well lego star wars works ... i guess nfs most wanted 5-1-0 that I have has issues. My SNES emulator won't run though. Any ideas? I just added 2 more isos to the iso folder and the psp froze when I clicked on the memory stick --> games icon. Took them off and left star wars and no problems. Weird...

How come when I set the "skip sony intro" option to enabled, I still get the welcome screen? In fact I have a feeling that the changes I make in the recovery menu aren't actually being changed. If i turn off the UMD check, it still checks the UMD.

    Is that possible?

umd mode (normal - umd required) MUST change to M33- no umd required
AND, maybe you need rename the 3.5X folder to 3.71.
THE END, the "Home" key function in 3.52 M33 now CHANGE to the "Select" key, be attention, please!
    Good luck.

vin: Ahh, see I didn't know that issue was related to the 1.50 addon.

wuhan: Where is the 3.5x or 3.7x folder supposed to be on the mem stick? After updating from 3.4 to 3.5 to 3.7, I removed the folders that contained the update utilities...should they be there still?

Anyway, thus far some of my games are still working. SNES emulator is kaput, but otherwise things seem to be ok.

Anyway, thanks for the help and sorry if I didn't search hard enough for info that may have been in the forums.
