Hi there, bought a brand new psp and was to afraid to make my own pandora so not to brick it so bought one and it worked gr8.

    However

The memory card it came on was 1gb and bigger than mine so I shifted the files onto my computer and then back onto a freshly formatted smaller memory card, not to small (512mb).

Tried to flash my brothers psp and it don't work, so tried to flash mine again just to check nothing was broken and it don't work on mine either.

If i insert the memory card into the computer the files are there, If i insert it into the psp with a normal battery they are there and i can use the memory card as normal.

When I insert the pandora battery and the memory card the power comes on itself but there is no activity from the led that normally blinks when accessing the memory card.

I am guessing I messed up transferring the files and that the files are installed on to the memory card in a certain way.

Can anyone give me a pointer as to what i have done wrong.

    With regards to a solution

Can i use the files i saved on my computer at all or will I have to download it all fresh from the internet somewhere.

If so do you know the filename i should search for I have already downloaded all the firmwares under the sun but Im guessing i need some sort of bootable program to flash them onto the psp.

I believe there is one that with the pandora battery will flash and downgrade any psp so i can then use the m33-3 installer i all ready have.

Obviously I am a noob any help would be gr8 and ill be posting crazy where i figure it all out myself.

    Cheers

you gonna need to MSINSt the memory card again..

heres what you need to do:

*your memory should have a msipl.bin in the root of it..
*now you need to get a hold of the msinst tools ( check my SIG )
*extract the tools in the desktop and copy the folder called MSINST
*now you need to place that msinst folder in the root of C: drive
*just to make sure that you have the proper file in that folder
*dbl click on it and you should have MSINST.exe and MSIPL.bin
*if you have both of those file in there, then continue on..
*enable USB mode on your psp
*note the drive letter of your psp
    *open cmd window
*type the following command " CD C:\ " No quotation
    *after that now
*type the following command " msinst\msinst.exe X msinst\msipl.bin " where X is the drive letter of your psp No quotation
*it should give you the MS BOOT WRITEN or something like that.

    your done..

or you can run the UPMS EZ installer.. its fast easy and you dont need to use the CMD prompt..HERES THE LINK (Ultimate Pandora Magic Stick(U.P.M.S) **UPDATE**)
just run the full program and skip the battery making step, you already have one right?
milenko's way works fine too, i just found this to be easier for people..good luck!!

Nice one gents, used the first option on my existing memory card to keep hold if the files and it worked gr8.

Then went and followed the second option just out of interest on another card and both work gr8.

1 problem and 2 easy solutions, now thats a forum!
