    Moving the Partitions, its not working. ive been looking through but all i seem to be getting from the cmd is that it can not open msipl.bin. my command is:
    C:\msinst.exe E msipl.bin

    when i add cd\ before c it just says it can not find path.

    i have read a article which was a week old about the same situation, the way of getting round it was creating a .bat file and storing it on the same drive as the .bin file. But that doesnt seem to work either. .bat file was:
    msinst E msipl.bin - saved as anyname.bat

    Can anyone help as im really stuck now... also i need help with logically formatting my memory stick with mspformat. i have the file, 1 .bat & 1 .exe file. But when i click the .bat file while my psp is connected a cmd screen goes on and off very quickly and thats it. Same with the .exe file.

    What am i doing wrong?

    follow the guide from the MSIPL.bin part..
    if you don't have the MSINST then here ya go : Download
    =================================
    Heres a guide.

    *extract the file into your desktop:
    *Open README 1st folder
    *highlight and copy MSINST and MSPFORMAT FOLDER
    *open My Computer
    *Left Click the C: drive once (Note: if you double click, it will open C: drive)
    *Now RIGHT Click on C: drive and PASTE
    ==============
    *now you need to ENABLE USB MODE on psp
    *make note of the psp drive letter
    ==============
    *Open Cmd window ( Start > RUN > CMD )
    *Type in the following command "CD C:\" (note: with-out quote mark) HIT enter
    *it should take you to -----> C:\>
    *type the following command "mspformat\mspformat.exe X" ( where X=psp drive letter) note: NO quotation
    *Press Y to continue
    *it should say "Drive succesfully formatted, and partition moved."
    *disable USB mode
    *remove the memory stick and re-insert back
    *re-enable USB mode
    *Now go back to the Desktop where you extracted those file earlier
    *Choose the Pandora Folder you want to make ( original(phat) or despertar(slim)
    *Once you choose the folder you want dbl click and open it
    *Select all and COPY
    *open the psp memory stick and PASTE
    *go back to CMD window.
    *type the following command "msinst\msinst.exe X msinst\msipl.bin" (again where X=psp drive letter) note: NO quotation
    *It should ask you " Are You Sure ? [Y]
    *Press Y and Hit ENTER
    *The last line should say " Write MS BOOT CODE "

    dear da.milenko..
    i followed your instructions for formatting, which worked... so thank you very much... but the instructions for moving partition to my (E) memory stick ddnt work... the exact message that comes up is:
    psp ms ipl installer
    load ipl code msinst\msipl.bin
    cant open msinst\msipl.bin

    ok now try this:

    you have place the MSINST FOLDER in the root of your C: drive correct?
    check and see if MSIPL.bin file is in there.. and also in your MEMORY stick..
    if both files are in both location then read on below

    if so.. then

    open Cmd window

    type the following with out quotation " cd c:\ "

    it should take you to C:\> prompt.

    now once you are here..

    type the following again.. no quotation " cd msinst "

    it should take you to c:\msinst>

    now type the following msinst.exe X msipl.bin ( X represent the psp drive )

    hit enter

    if it ask you to press Yes then you are good to go. if not.

    make sure that MSIPL.bin is in the root of your psp and also in the MSINST FOLDER in the C: drive..
