    Hi,
Just got my first psp a slim, and i would like to mod it to play games off the memory stick. I've looked through these forums for like an hour and the guides all say something about having 3.5 or 3.6 official in order to install up to 3.71 m33 custom. I'm a little confused because mine says 3.80 on the system information. Could someone please just give me a hint on where to get started?
    thx

You will need to buy/make what is called a "pandora's battery" in order to mod your PSP.

What it will do is change the firmware of your PSP from 3.80 official, to a hacked version, 3.71M33-4, or another one which you choose.

The guide to do all of this is here: http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ew-method.html

I recommend you buy the battery, but you'll have to make the stick yourself, which is covered in the guide.

If you're not very technical, I wouldn't recommend doing it at all, however....

    Your choice.
