I used my CFW Phat PSP and created a UPMS Stick and Pandora Battery with UPMS Emerald edition.

I'm having trouble booting my Slim with the Phat Pandora Battery and UPMS stick inserted. The green light will blink on and off a couple times and then stop. The Slim will never boot with the Pandora Batter inserted.

What am I doing wrong? Please help.

I downloaded Pandora's Ultimate Magic Stick Guide from psp-hacks.com and it says this:

Hi peeps, I can't stress this enough, to make Ultimate Loader work on a Slim you must have the kd371 and registry371 folders active. Otherwise the Slim won't boot.

For PSP Slim&Lite the registry folder seems to play an important part of the loading process.Always perfom a full Nand Backup before flashing for the first time, that way you can restore your Slim if anything goes wrong.

For the Slim you will need to make sure that your "kd" and "registry" folders are for 371 otherwise the slim will
    not boot.

Another way to load Dark_Alex's Cemetery v3 is by switching the "Hold" key to the on position and inserting your
JigKick Battery (Left Trigger if using Multi-IPL), this will bypass the Helpers menu and launch Dark_Alex's Cemetery v3 app directly.
I have no idea what it means by kd and registry must be active folders. I tried renaming them to kd371 and registry371 but still dont work....

    PLEASE HELP... thanks.

Either hold L-Trigger when turning it on with the Multi-IPL installed to the MemStick or put the MemStick and the Battery into your Phat and pree R-Trigger on the Main U.P.M.S. menu till it says Despertar del Cementerio V3.

    OK I have a problem.
I have a PSP slim. I hacked it according to the tutorial and everything turned out fine. It was showing custom firmware name in system information and all. I reformated the memory stick after finishing the hacking.
Now, when I restarted the PSP, it just wont start. My memory card will be accessed constantly (the red light keeps blinking) but nothing would happen and the screen will remain black. I can go into recovery mode, but I have no idea how to use it. Help plzzzz

Don't copy paste your problem onto a different thread.

Rewrite the card and try again. Try a different installer like catb50 or totalnewbi, switching the installer around does the trick occasionally.

Also, if he's on OFW and not CFW 3.90+, ipl won't work anyways.

this has happened to me before after a flash.when you boot back up make sure your memory stick is out of the psp.it should boot up,then stick the stick back in.sometimes that happens right after a flash on older mmses.

if the memory stick is still flashing red.you prolly somehow fried your stick.
but the psp should be normal.unless your not telling us something more of what you did
