i cant seem to get anything to launch from my memory stick with the release version of 3.80 m33 which means i cant use a usb downloadable update.

i have tried to use the 150 kernal add on but i cant seem to get anything to launch, even the recovery from the recovery menu

i think my problem would be solved if i just use the network update feature released in 3.80 m33, but when i try to run it i get a message that says "download failed"

anyone know what might be causing this problem?

1)Go into recovery & switch to 3.80 kernel.
2)In order to get recovery to work you have to put recovery in game folder & is only used if your going back to 1.5.
3)Try putting you update folder in game folder on your MS.
    4) Which update are you trying to install. If its the 1.5 kernel the 150pbp doesn't go in the update folder but in the root of the memory stick

i tried with both 3.80 kernal and 1.50 kernal

nothing i put in my game folder on the MS shows up in the XMB

and when i run the recovery eboot it goes back to the XMB and gives me the error message "the game cannot be started (80010002)"

i have that setting enabled, but i tried the network update (yes the internet browser works fine) i first get a message that says "network update has found a later version, to download, insert memstick (which is inserted) with at least 1 mb free space and press the x button" when i press the x button i get an error message that says "the download failed" almost immediately.

i think that if i can update to a later version of m33 3.80 then i will be able to run the homebrew enabler, but im still not sure. i would much rather just downgrade back to 1.50 then reinstall 3.52m33 or 3.71m33

i cannot get anything to launch from the xmb whether it is in the game150 folder or in the game folder.

what could be causing my recovery not to work?

Go to recovery, go to advanced, and format flash1 and restore default settings, format the memory stick then try it again.

tried that already to no avail.

i just inserted my 32MB memstick that came with my psp and it is working with the network update, but it still wont launch the recovery menu. apparently there is something wrong with my 4 gig stick

i now have m33-5 but would still like to downgrade back to 1.5

You just might want to try formatting the ms with your computer. I've noticed every time I make a "magic stick" for pandora, my ms card will not work even after formatting with the psp.

Just usb connect to your comp, goto my comp, then right click on ms:0, format with default settings. After completed, reformat with psp

Should be good to go after that
