You get this error from one of two reasons. Either the file is corrupted during transfer or your flash is corrupted where the file is to be tranfered to. You can either reflash your psp format your flash0 or download another copy of the file first to see if that works.

Try to download the file you are trying to copy over, in other word you trying to copy theme files so download the theme files again to see if that works if not then you will have to reflash. Either by the 1.50 recovery or Pandora, which ever one you think is convenient for you.

Well if you installed the 1.50 kernel Im assuming you have a fat psp. The 1.50 recovery basically recovers your psp to 1.50 firmware so you can start from scratch with a fresh Flash0. It is mainly used for recovering semi-bricks or in your case formatting flash0.

If you have MSN or aim I can eplain further on how to use it. PM me your msn or aim we can do it much faster that way.

This is actually much simpler than all that - there isn't enough space for the theme. In flash0, there's a folder called dic - Delete it, then copy the rest of your theme and you won't have any errors.

there is a limit provided by the xmb but that limit is unknown serve's as a trial an error for us. try to limit the file size of a certain file that you want to change. ie: osk_plugin.rco

A cyclic redundancy check, is not just for psp......so you gotta look through ur other options. Dukepoth knows what hes talking about so try that first....if that doesnt work then your computer just isnt communicating with the PSP correctly. You'll get the same error if you had burned files to a fairly new CD(the ones with the darker colored bottomside) and then try an read 'em in an older CD-Rom. In the latter case it'd be ur USB. Meaning its either too slow(common in the front ports, try the back ones) or the driver is out-of-date(so install a new one). Try those ideas also if you get that same error transferring other things via USB to different devices.

No disrespect to Dukepoth, but don't try what he said first. It makes absolutely no sense to reflash your PSP if it doesn't need it, and it doesn't. You don't have enough space on flash0 - make some. It's too easy, don't try all the hard shit first...

I've had this error 3 times when flashing themes, and making space fixes it. Google "cyclic redundancy error PSP" for proof.

Well that is a strange one, and I'm really glad you got it fixed. I've only heard of that happening to CDs of mine that were really scratched. o_O

    Kudos!
