zero way without the battery and very low risk if you follow all the steps exactly. just start reading the guides section. it'll start to make sense after a bit.

hi, im new to this whole thing and i was wondering if there was a easy way to hack a psp slim with v3.9 so i can play homebrew stuff. without the use of the battery thing... and how risky of screwing up my psp is it? any help would be appreciated
zero way without the battery and very low risk if you follow all the steps exactly. just start reading the guides section. it'll start to make sense after a bit.
pandora is prolly the easiest way to go. you dont have to do it yourself, you can prolly ask someone around this site to make you one for a price
ok thanks for the reply i have been searching around, but even with the battery its rather confusing lol.. but how hard is it to make a battery thing?
not very hard. you just gotta open it up and cut a pin. takes 5 minutes
ok i had some questions about all this... if i were to use my stock psp slim batt and the 1g mem stick. will i be able to revert them back to normal and use them for there intended purpose or am i s.o.l. and out of a batt and stick?
the memory stick can be formatted to get rid of all the files leftover from the pandora process. yes the battery can be reverted with an application on the psp but i recommend keeping it a pandora in case you brick. which would mean buy another battery to play with. its your choice

ok what happens when it bricks, and how much does is another batt?
when it bricks, it usually doesnt work anymore. another battery is around $40, but its just gonna be another normal one unless you get it from a person/a site/or ebay.
So I am gathering I should have gotten the 1k, not the 3k.
also one of the guides I found on here was very helpful.
It was the one written by the captain crunch avatar.
So glad I found this site, it is such a good source of information.
