problem upgraded from 3.52m33-4 to 3.71m33 (not a stupid readme.txt problem)

ok so i was on 3.4 OE-A, upgraded to 3.52m33. then to 3.52m33-4. (the 3.52m33-4 took literally 2 sec which i thought was weird, but system info says FW is 3.52m33-4 now so) now when i try to upgrade to 3.71m33 it says "this program requires 3.52m33-3 or higher" then restarts the PSP.

I thought the 2 sec upgrade from 3.52m33 to 3.52m33-4 was fishy so i reran the 3.52m33 and then reran a copy of the 3.52m33-4 from a differant source (i think was the same file *orig from dark alex site*) same deal happened.

anyone have any clue

also i should add that i have the kernel set to 3.52

Just a thought....try applying each update individually, i.e., 3.52 M33-2, 3.52 M33-3, then 3.52 M33-4. After that, update to 3.71 M33. If that does not work, try reflashing 3.52 M33 again. Then like I said before, apply each update, not just the last one. Good luck.

i went back to 3.52m33 then to 3.52m33-3 sequentially and did the 3.71m33 from there and it worked. thanks for the help.

this needs to be added to the guides somewhere, I have told a ton of people that if they are going from 3.52 to 3.7+ that they need to add each update individually, there is something missing from one of those updates and a lot of people are running into this problem, this needs to be added into the guide

I am in the same boat as you were...how do u go back to a firmware because dont know...I updated to m33-4 without any other kinda installation and I was looking into just getting update 5 but I dont know if it will work / is real...so please let me know how u went back to just m33 not m33-4 so I can update to 3.90! thanks
