i think the most stable firmware is 3.80m33-5. lets you play all backed up iso's, homebrew, 1.5 kernel addon.
and i believe for the 8gb card to work, you need 3.90m33, could even be 3.80m33

I haven't used my PSP in a while really and I just charged it up yesterday and fixed it up.
I had 2.71 SE-A and I downgraded it to a 1.5 for a fresh start.
I was curious if anyone could tell me what the best Firmware version is today which would allow me to play my backed up copies of UMDs, Emulate SNES and other things like that.
I was also curious if anyone could help me out by telling me what version of the firmware you have to have on a PSP in order for an 8gb Pro Duo to work ( I heard there was some kind of provision in order for an 8gb to work in the PSP ).
I appreciate your help, thanks.

Ah thanks!
Well, I Just upgraded to 3.90 m33-2.
That however, won't let me play my backed up .iso's and .cso's (keep in mind I'm not fully sure what I am talking about).
But it will let me use emulation?
I have been using 3.80m33 since i got my psp, and have had no problems what so ever
you should still be able to play your backed up games on 3.90m33. press select when youre in the xmb, and change umd mode to the sony driver
