and unless you're planning on buying a second mem stick to make a MMS (which is highly recommended anyway), you should back up you're crisis core, and any other, game saves.
so what exactly am i gona need? and does modding restrict any normal functions of the psp?
I am having some serious issues with my emulators after updating to m33-3. I have a psp fat. The last time I used my emulators was about a month ago so I dont know what the hell is going on. I know there isn't a way to reinstall 3.90 m33 without pandora, so is there anyone in the Westchester, NY area that does have one that could help me out possibly? Thanks in advance.
cheers

Here, this guide will tell you everything you need to install CFW:
http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ery-guide.html
but please, try looking through the guides and using the search button next time. more often than not, someone has already asked the same question and gotten an answer.
and oldblueeyes, don't hijack other people's threads. you already made a thread yourself.
re:BloodAngel266
and you did a great job helping me in that one didnt you!
so with that link you sent me i can could mod it and still play crisis core? cuz i need 3.73 or higher to play it, but it'll wrk n e way? cuz honestly if i cant play crisis core then fuck it haha
yep. using that guide you'll have 3.80 M33-5, which is the custom equivalent to 3.80, so you'll be set. but remember to backup your save to your computer before you start the process.
do i have to buy another memory stick or could i just back up my game saves from crisis core, use that memory stick to make the magic memory stick, then put the files back on? in other words, can i use the magic memory stick for all the mod files AND my umd saves?
you can do both, but it's a good idea to buy another memory stick (something small, like 1 GB or 512 MB) specifically to make a magic memory stick, just in case you brick your psp installing a theme or something. and you should probably back up your save game anyway. better save then sorry.
wil i b saving iso's, emu's, roms n such to the mms? n thank u for all ur help
no, the mms is strictly for installing cfw on a psp. after you install the cfw, you can set it aside in case you brick or want to install cfw on a friend's psp. as for emulators and isos, you just take the other memory stick (the one you've been using to save crisis core) and use that. you may have to reformat it with the cfw installed to add emulators, i'm not sure, but that's why you have your saves backed up, right?
so what exact memory stick do i need?
if you're going to get a second mem stick, get a 1 GB or a 512 MB for the mms, and use your 2 GB for games, music and video.
