    okay, im new here but:

i have a psp phat, ofw 3.93, and a 4gb sony ms pro duo

    my questions are:
    - can i use my 4gb to make the mms?

    - if i cant use the 4gb, i can just use my dads 256 that he uses for our camcorder, BUT if i use his 256 to make the mms will i need to keep it that way or can i revert it back to normal so he can use it again?

    - i want to make a softmod pandora using this guide that someone posted:

"guide using pandoras battery easy way but you must have cfw"

    - the guide says i need cfw, does that mean i can use a friends psp (with cfw) and turn his battery into a pandora as a service battery for my psp, and revert it to normal and give it back to him so he can use it

    - or can i just use the method above on my own battery and then revert it back to normal? if i do this, are there any risks?

alright thanks. after i bought the 4 gb, i read about how it supposedly had mms issues and i was beginning to worry. so i will have 100% no problems with using the 4gb as a mms right?

also, how risky is hard modding? if ever i might just save up for a new battery so i can use that as a permanent pandora and keep my normal battery for normal use (thats possible right?)

sorry for all the questions though, im just extremely new to all of this stuff. a few days ago i was all WTF at all of the new terms (firmware, pandoras, mms, eboot, etc.)

    1. i havent encountered any problems with making a mms and reverting it back, just had problems making the mms >.< lol but all you need to do is reformat it. if you accidentally mess things up by pressing the wrong buttons, you maaaay corrupt your memory stick. but thats a very small small chance.

    2. if you have good soldering skills, it may not be too hard. but if you never touched a solder in your life, you may fry your battery. i took the easy way out and bought the battery service tool thing from codejunkies that switches your normal battery to a pandora and back. works, about 26ish dollars and you can always switch the battery back and forth.

    hope i was helpful!

    yes, very helpful.
one thing though, do you know if you are supposed to permanently keep a mms as a mms?
or can i use it as an mms for modding and then revert it once im done installing the cfw?

yea, thats good advice, you have to have good motor skills and a steady hand to make a pandoras battery, so take your time! Rushing will probably result in failure.

Also, keep in mind to follow all ESD precautions, meaning destatic yourself on something grounded before touching the inside of your battery (ex: metal leg of a table, metal lamp etc.) You don't want to fry you battery that way

How To: Change a PSP Faceplate by me

    2.80 > 3.03 > 1.50 > 3.03 oe-c > 3.52 m33 > [3.52 m33-4]

alright, so based on the advice you guys have given me i am going to:

1 - save up for either a 128mb (do they have these in pro duo? if so is it big enough to hold all of the files needed to put on a mms?) or most likely, a 256mb to use as my permanent mms (im scared of screwing up my dads 256)

2 - save up for a new battery and hard mod it into a permanent pandora

only 2 more questions and i should have everything properly planned out:

1 - once i have the pandora and mms, do i have to have them in the psp at all times when im playing? or can i switch them with my normal battery/4gb

2 - im still interested in using the guide i mentioned earlier about softmodding, cause im really paranoid about hardmodding cause im extremely clumsy. is it possible for me to CREATE the pandora (out of the extra battery ill buy) using my friends psp, which already has cfw?

thanks for all the help and advice im getting, you guys are awesome
