They both do the exact same thing, and they are both as good as each other.
neither is better than the other. i would go with soft modding though, it is so much easier.

is there a difference between a hardmodded pandora and a softmodded pandora (is one better than the other - performance wise)
i know that a softmodded one is easier to pandora-ize and easier to depandoraize, but
i just needed someone to answer which type is the better option because i am going to buy a battery/memory stick from a friend at school tomorrow for 20 dollars and i wanna know which mod i should do on the battery
note, i do have access to a friends psp with cfw so yes, softmodding is possible for me

alright, i think im gonna go with it as well because the process to turn it into a pandora is SO much safer and easier.
i was just scared cause i was going to softmod a battery im going to buy tomorrow, but one of my friends with cfw said that softmodding only does half of the things that a hardmodded pandra (he was like, you have to play with the ac etc etc.)
one more question, if i softmod, can i choose to keep it permanently softmodded?
yeah i would say soft mod if you can. i havent done it my self, but i did do the hard mod, and all though everything went fine. it was still a bummer. the battery is very delicate. and there was a constant fear of destroying it and the psp.
alright its decided then, ill softmod the battery ill buy ^^
thanks for the advice guys
