actually this is a moot point, you can run a custom version of 3.80 and run emulatiors and new games

what are the disadvantages to downgrading? i just got a psp so i dont really know
and is it a bad idea if you still wanna have all the psp games and whatnot?
like for example are the updates necessary to play new games?
i have 3.80 so can i have emulators and still be able to play future releases at the same time?!

thank you very much you made me happy lol
but can i run ALL future games?
you should be able to...you may just have to wait a little bit longer for the newer updates. for example, the 3.95 update is out....but there is no custom version of it yet. only a matter of time though....only a matter of time
so in other words i can just kinda smack some emulators on there and still play all of my games?
and the developers of psp emulators dont make like...new emulators for updates, there is simply new FIRMWARE for updates?
FIRMWARE that still runs all games
EDIT:and isos on memory sitck?
