Hi, I just bought a modded psp from friend. The custom firmware is 1.40 OE. Seeing that it if quite outdated I would like to upgrade it. Can someone tell me how to upgrade from 1.40OE to a higher custom firmware?

So many posts and no answers -_-
Anyway, first you'l need to download the 3.52 and 1.50 official eboots-- here
Now, download the 3.52 M33 files here.
Rename the 3.52 eboots to 150.PBP and 352.PBP
Extract all the files and put the M33CREATOR folder in GAME and the 352.PBP & 150.PBP files in M33CREATOR.
Now execute it on the PSP, this will create the updater.
After that, run the 3.52 M33 upgrade on the PSP.

Now you can delete the files if you want.
Go here again and download 3.52 M33-4
Copy the "PSP" folder to the memory stick and replace it (don't worry, this wont delete anything).
Run the update on the PSP.

    Once again, go here.

    Download 3.90 M33-3.
Copy the UPDATE to PSP/GAME on the memory stick
Run it on the PSP, this will download 3.90 official eboot for you.
and continue the process. Ta da
You're now on the latest custom firmware.

PS:Imade this post, I did not made copy & paste crap.

Actually if you want to be technical 1.50 IS the first Official Firmware for the U.S. PSP's..Firmware 1.00 was the initial release for Japanese PSP's...I just automatically think of 1.50 when I think of it's first firmware...my bad..
