I just purchased a new Slim Silver PSP today and I have a few questions. I have read about the many different things you can do with a PSP, but this is fairly overwhelming. What I am looking to do is be able to play NES, SNES, and PS1 games on my PSP, as well as change my background. I am under the impression that in order to run emulators you need some sort of custom firmware. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!

Maybe I'll buy an extra battery just in case something goes wrong.

Do I have to do this mod in order to play PS1 games on my PSP? I remember there being a demonstration at E3 of a guy playing a PS1 game on his slim psp, and I assumed it didn't have custom firmware considering the event and that custom firmware voids the psp warranty.

That extra battery will cost ya about $45 in a store though.
Nothing can really go wrong if you have a steady hand and can read directions

How are you supposed to get the battery put back together so that it's secure?
