Problem Updating from Updating from M33 3.52-4 to 3.90-2 Taking A while, 10 min, bk?

It's been almost 10 minuets and I'm SUPER worried, Did i brick it, I put the UPDATE folder in the "/PSP/GAME/" directory with 3.90PBP but i didn't do this:

I didn't do "If updating to 3.90 M33 for the first time, hold L + Triangle while booting until the screen says 'Verifying 390.PBP'. When it does, release the two, and update normally." is that bad?! I just realized I didn't right now....

Help MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Edit: I DON'T have 78% battery Life, is that the problem?
It's was charging while I was updating, should I leave it alone, cuz i herd turning it off could brick it...

what does it say on the screen?
I tried to update before and it was a black screen with something like:
"Unpacking files..."
I think you have to have it NOT set to 1.50 hombrew kernel.
If it says the above, and is still on a text screen, with NOT the official update, pull the battery out, go to recovery, and check your hombrew kernel settings. That's what I had to do when I made the mistake,of having it set to 1.50 kernel.
