How can my friend give me CFW??

hi im benny i bought a psp about 1-2 years ago its a black psp 1000
and my friend has a psp 2000 and he just got cfw...
so i want to get cfw too, and i saw in youtube that its possible that he could make me a pandora battery with some cfw software...
i really dont understand in this so please help me i have 4.05 ofw and i want cfw reallyyyy bad...

As long as a PSP didnt come pre-installed with 4.05 OFW it can be hacked. Your friend can use a Pandora Battery tool to soft-mod a regular battery into a jigkick battery (usually called a pandora but a pandora is a combination of a MMS and a Jigkick).

It'll get you to 4.01 M33-2 which is the latest CFW to date.

His update does not hurt anything...

Upgrades to 4.05 can still be hacked. The firmware version has nothing to do with it. Most of the PSP's that come pre-installed with 4.05 OFW have a motherboard that will not let you use a pandora, which prevent the install of CFW. If its upgraded to 4.05 then it can be hacked very easilly.
