Ok I bought a psp about a year ago, ive been playing on emulators for years so when i thought something was missing I decided I wanted to put emulators on my psp. Now at first I was saying "This is gonna be easy", but as I progressed I soon found it a challenge. I've looked at every guide to downgrade but not one of the exactly help me. Guides can tell me about Pandora's Battery and the Magic Memory Stick all they want, but I need a clear awnser. I am running a 4.1 firmware Slim PSP. Help please.

Well then your going to need Pandora Battery. So firstly Pandora Battery is the combination of a Jigkick Battery and a Magic Memory Stick. Secondly, your going to need either a friend with custom firmware, buy a datel tool battery off the internet or hardmod your battery (which I don't recommend, because it can be a hard procedure if you don't have steady hands). So the questions I need to ask you first are: Do you have a friend with custom firmware, and how big is your memory stick and what type is it (memory stick duo or memory stick pro duo).

can anyone help me as i am trying to update my psp from 2.82 to 4.05 but my psp is from japan apparantly and it wont recognise the english download for this upgrade. Playstation techs tell me that i need to download the 4.05 from the japanese site to make it work. i have latest games but am unable to use them for this reason can anybody tell me how to fix this or tell me which part on the japanese site is the download.

make a pandora and a mms.whatever lie you heard about is not true.the only reason a pandora wouldnt be able to play games and such is cause a pandora is a setup battery not a normal battery.

however if you follow my guide on making a mms with dc7 using rains maker,then use a pandoras battery with it,your pandora can play all normal as it will boot into the psp as if it were a normal battery,or go to pandora mode with a button hold

That was helpful, but I wanted to know wether pandora's battery will work on a slim 3.6v 1200mAh battery. Also with emulators do you have to have cfw or the other type. (sorry I'm still a noob)

yes, the pandora battery will work on slim and you need custom firmware for emulators.

Sorry I'm usinf Rain's magic ms maker and it keeps not responding in the middle of making a mms. It stops working during Extracting Despertar del Cementario v7

dont worry about that....for some reason it takes a really long time to do the one this....does it not respond when it says extracting desperatio v7 or some shit like that?

cause it does that on my comp then eventually it continues the process.

yeah, it's really trippy, but i look at my psp and the bar under usb connection is ther, ok well it's done now what do I do.

yep, you do...you can hardmod one if you still have an original sony psp battery, softmod one if u know someone that has a psp with custom firmware, or buy one....if u buy one, get it from dealextreme.com....it has one for only like 10 bucks

thats a pretty good deal, so you make a jigkick into a pandora's battery by using a magic mem stick and then you can downgrade firmware but does making a magic mem stick render that stick inaffective?
