    Hello all,

I have a phat psp that was an original with 1.5 firmware. I upgraded it a bunch of times until I got 3.90 m33-2 or 3 (can't remember)
I then upgraded to 4.01 m33 the day it came out.
Everything was working fine until I tried to mess with themes.

Call it a noob mistake (go ahead), but I copied the flash0 and vsh folders of my 3.90 m33 psp over to my flash0 and vsh files of my 4.01 psp. (I only own 1 psp if you are confused)

all in all, it ended in a full brick.

I have a tool battery on the way from dealextreme. I just wanted to use this time to get a little help from you guys before I screw it up again.

    1. Since I have a full brick (no recovery menu), how/what program should I be looking into to make a magic memory stick from a PC? (PSP Pandora Deluxe v13?)

    2. I just want to get a fresh install of 1.5 firmware on the PSP so I can upgrade it as far as I would like. Anything I should remember/ do differently?

I think that's all for now, but I probably will add on.
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks, much appreciated.
Now should I try to get 1.5 firmware, or is it safe to go straight to 4.01 using Rain's tut?
I didn't know if there were any compatibility issues (1.5 kernal, POPS loader, themes, etc...)

    Thanks again

4.01 is the way to go.

No reason to go any lower, 4.01 rocks.

Only reason to go any lower is 3.71m33 for easy PSX but the rains mms maker semi bricks your psp when you use 3.71m33 on rains.

    So just go to 4.01m33

Now that I read into it a little further..

"you run it on your pc and have your psp connected in usb mode.

select 4.01 ofw/m33-2 in the firmware section then hit load eboot and find it on your psp, target drive would be your psps drive letter, pandora trigger button should be L.then select make mms.disregard the rest of the stuff, the rest is optional.when this is done and it puts the files onto your psp shutdown psp, then hold l trigger while putting in the pandora battery.it should send you to a menu where you select install 4.01 m33.thats it.hope that helps."

Can I just run this through a MS DUO reader on my PC instead of the PSP?
I assume all the steps are the same?

Yes, I have a slot on my pc for MS Pro Duo, and I used it that way, not a usb cord
