So, my phat PSP is running official firmware 4.05 and I want to go custom. I want to make sure I'm going to do this right, so I don't screw up my PSP.
I have (hoqefully) turned my old 256mb memory stick into a magic one with Rain's program.
I will use the Datel service tool to convert my battery into a pandora.
So then I put the MMS in, then the battery, and hit X.
Then when it's done, I convert the battery back to normal and I should have 4.01 M33.
I can then use my normal 4gb memory stick.
    Right?

    Firmware history thing:
    Whatever PSPs bought in July 2006 had preinstalled → every update until 4.05 → 4.01 M33-2 → 4.05 → 3.80 M33-5 → 4.01 M33-2 → 5.00 → 4.01 M33-2 → 5.00 M33 → 5.00 M33-2 → 5.00 M33-3

Put the memory stick in, then hold L and put in the pandoras battery, if the green light shows up press X (it doesn't matter if you don't get anything on the screen). The MS light should flash.
