Well i cant boot up my psp So it wont let me format my stick and it wont let me do this
type the following command "mspformat\mspformat.exe X" ( where X=psp drive letter) note: NO quotation
- hit enter button
- hit Y, then press enter

Says pseduo format not needed

What do i do?

If mspformat doesn't do anything when used manually, what makes you think it will when used automatically? Fayko, it's telling you the pseudo format is not needed. You can safely continue with whatever guide you're using, and you can stop reading right here if you don't care for the technical explanation.

When an IPL is written to a memory stick, it is written in the small space before the first partition, which you can think of as a "boot sector". In some cases, that space is too small to contain the IPL, so mspformat moves the first (and usually the only) partition over a bit to make more room for it. Whether you actually need to use mspformat or not depends on both the size of the IPL you want to inject and the memory stick itself.
