12-19-2008, 10:25 PM Generally speaking yes, but it depends on your PSP model. Is it a PSP 3000? If so that is totally unhackable, if it's a PSP 2000 (slim) or 1000 (fat) then it depends on your motherboard. Do you know what firmware the PSP had on it when it was first bought?
12-19-2008, 10:27 PM i got psp 1000 and my psp has gone to repair at the moment.do u think they will reboot the system so i will start by version 3 or something?i dont no firmware i had.how do i find out?getting my screen repaired by the way

12-19-2008, 10:44 PM If it's a PSP 1000 then it is highly likely it will be moddable via a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick. There are only a tiny number of PSP1000 that come with the unhackable motherboards.
If you sent it to Sony i doubt they will change the firmware, since it is already on the latest version.

I've never done it myself but i don't think it's much more work than putting both in your PSP, booting up and following the on screen instructions,
