Issues with Pandora's Battery Creator

I am new to this, so please forgive the questions. I tried searching for this, but I cannot get the image to load for verification.

I just purchased a PSP for the sole purpose of Emulation. It is a 1001 system with version 2.00fw on it. I have created a MMS (according to the guide at least), but when I run the Pandora's Creator, it just sits on the loading screen, and then the PSP turns off.

I thought about updating to the OFW 5.03, but I have read that it is difficult to get CFW for that.

What should I do here? Any help would be appreciated.

hey man....well you need to run the Pandora creator on a modded psp to make the MMS.
why dont you try Rains Pandora Creator (the link is in my signature below)
this will make a pandora MMS for you using your PC.
just follow the guide,its easy

I just did a little research, and I am wondering if I even need to do the Pandora Battery?

Can I just downgrade to 1.5 from 2.00 and install the CFW from there?

I thought I had a grasp on this, but I am extremely lost now.

well it is important & time saving if you have knowledge on Pandora now.
a lot of the issues (this includes downgrading/upgrading firmware) with the PSP can usually be solved by reflashing by Pandora.

if you use pandora it only involves one step & your PSP is upgraded directly to CFW (2.00 -> 5.00 M33).rather than you downgrade (2.00 -> 1.5 -> 5.00 M33) and then upgrading once more.

if you are unsure about DIY,you can always go to your local game shop and ask them to pandora your PSP to get CFW (or buy a pandora MMS + pandora battery set online).

if you have a phat you can downgrade and upgrade if you know how to I would reccomend that if not go pandora because you can fix whatever you might damage
