Need assistance, please

I've been all around, reading, downloading, installing, re-doing and more for almost 2 weeks now and I'm losing my mind. I need help. Please don't tell me to use the search function, I've done it, so many times now and I'm still stuck.

The problem:

1.) I bought a Pandora Battery and have a 4 gig Sony stick in and made myself a MMS without a hitch. All set, seems good. I have a working SNES emu so I'm pretty sure I'm doing something right.

2.) System says I'm on 1.50 firmware, and the username defaulted to Pandora.

3.) So SNES works, got DevHook on this too but games won't play and I can't seem to install any firmware no matter who or what it is. I'm stuck at 1.50 and I can't get anything more.

4.) When I turn the PSP on, the screen goes green (almost every time) and it wants to update to M33 3.52, yet even after it does that it still reads on the system info as 1.50.

5.) Just once when I turned the PSP on I got into Recovery mode (red screen?) and I also saw all of my CSO's and ISO's that were on the memory stick in the games section as if they were playable. I reboot the system cause they wouldn't load, and I've never gotten back that far, I'm still stuck pretty much no where.

I don't know what to do. I've watched videos, read FAQs, websites, you name it. Please, if anyone knows what my stupid problem is let me know, I'll be eternally grateful.

i would remake ur mms to like 4.00m33 or 5.00m33 use rains mms maker just search the site it will solve it for u

You dont need MMS when on 1.50...

Thread starter follow this:
Upgrade to latest firmware
Using this:
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
copy it to psp/game
Copy this to your the memory stick root:
4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download 500.PBP

And run it
Make sure you see that the target is 5.00
and then select install m33 cfw
reset the settings if it asks to.

This will take you to 5.00m33-4 in 2 minutes

After you get on 5.00m33-4,do this:
1.5 kernel addon for 5.00m33.Click here
Copy the folder 150k_installer only in the psp/game folder.Dont mind 150k_addon400,you dont need it

and then copy this in this in the root of your memory stick that is the X:\ drive.Replace X with the drive letter of your psp
150.pbp eboot.click here

And then run it.
Done!

This will upgrade you to latest firmware and kernel addon too.

@ Pirate-King - Thank you, but for whatever reason that did not work. I can't even begin to explain why, even though it made perfect sense according to every other thing I've tried this week+. I sincerely appreciate your advice and links however.

@hessels - Rains worked. For once something worked and I am so happy now. Thanks for the advice. Both of you. I'm now up to 4.01 M33 FW. I can now upgrade further if I want.
