Your first Firmware update

I remember my first update to 2.00. I ws so excited to get a web browser. I downloaded it from the Sony website. I was totally clueless back then. I transferred it to the game folder, but my battery wasn't full, and it wouldn't install right. I remember being tired late at night trying to get it work, and calling up the customer support. I was told to try charging it even more, even though I thought it was full enough and wouldn't make a difference, but I left it on the charger a little while and tried it again. It finally worked, and I was so happy to get the web browser. Looking back, it was a pretty interesting and funny update, so I was wondering if anyone else had some interesting stories about their first firmware update. Share your stories!

My first firmware update.. hmm, i guess it was for a mp3 player.
The update totally messed the shit up.
The Lng switched to english and there was no german one -.-

i had 3.60 when i got my psp...so i guess 3.71

Mine came with 2.01, and i think my first update was to 2.60 to be able to do the GTA downgrader.

my first firmware update was the most interesting, I started with 5.01 fw, and updated it to 5.03 i was so excillerated to see the psp shop, and then i realized it was useless, and now i cant gripshift exploit .... ah good times.

Well it doesn't really matter because you can't downgrade from 3.93 anyway, without a pandora.

i know this now, but at that time my brother pounded alot of garbage in my head and told me that because i did that i would never be able to hack my psp so i felt very dumb

I got a psp 2000 for my first psp and my first firmware update was fine and around firmware number 3.90 I used the network update and I got a firmware that was not on the sony website so I thought I had a firmware error or something.

I have had lots of bricks and I dont really stay on one firmware I have time Machine and I have 3 Firmwares Dumped on 3 memory sticks so I boot to different firmwares when I want to.

lol...when i bought my psp (phat) a year and a half ago, i went straight to cfw (3.71 M33).

I try to update from 3.72 to 4.01.it was going ok and know what the battery fell of the PSP it was soo bricked i spend sleepless night`s to fix it and it worked

Got my first PSP day it came out(W/ 1.5 Firmware)...didn't really play it till I got GTA:LCS then when looking for cheats one day I came across a site that talked about the GTA:LCS Upatched Exploit...did itand never turned back..had CFW since.Last Official Update I did was from 3.01 to 3.03 to usethe GTA Exploit.
