    So I just got a PSP a few weeks ago. A God of War bundle I found at the store strangely enough brand new.

    Anyways it was fine when I got it but just recently Ive found 4-5 dead pixels across the screen. What could have caused this? How do I prevent getting deadpixels? Im pretty sure CFW couldn't cause it but Its really aggravating it was pristine out of the box but then all of a sudden it has some dead pixels

    Just kinda pissed off my 200 buck investment has broken hardware already=/

    They are dead not stuck

    Ya I mostly get that but what causes them? I Could understand if they were there from the start but these appeared at a later date?

    What does it matter if its been sitting undisturbed in a store for a long time? Why would that cause dead pixels?
    Also dead are usually black while stuck are other color, but sometimes they can look black

    Hardware or abuse.
    Sometimes programs can flub up and cause a dead pixel

    Dead = Black Pixel.
    Stuck = Stuck on a color. Like red, green, blue. (I guess any color too)
    Also can be a hot pixel.
    Hot = White pixel.

    I got a few dead ones on mine, but who cares. It's not like its a cluster where it blacks out a part of my screen.
    PSP1: Phat 3.42 => Downgraded 1.5 => Some Updating => 5.00m33-6
