Doesn't work with 3.3 kernel either.

Which UMD mode are you talking about?

I tried enabling Free UMD Region in Recovery mode but it doesn't work.

I just googled a bit and it says that I have to update first to 3.52m33 then to 3.52m33-4 then to 3.90m33 before I can install 5.03.. how can I do that?

Well.. I updated to 3.52 M33-4 but I'm unable to get to 3.90 M33.. I am also unable to update to 3.80 M33, it says I need at least 3.52 M33-3. I have also tried to update to 5.03 but it still says:

The game could not be started.

    Help please?

    EDIT: scratch that.

billy: If you're on 3.52 m33, then just run hellcat's recovery flasher, you don't need to update to 5.03. Using hellcat's you'll be able to update to 5.00m33

Are we sure about this? I told a guy in a different thread to update from 3.10 OE using hellcat's if he could, and he told me it worked. It's possible that hes wrong about his firmware of course...

How do I run it from recovery menu? Do I just press x on it and follow the onscreen instructions?

if you restart and hold R and then get a different menu then you have it if not just run from the game folder

How exactly do I use Hellcats? I went into the recovery menu and I chose to run the program at PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP but it shows this message:
This program needs at least 2.71 to work propperly!
    Sorry.... exiting....

If running on 3.52 or lower, launch this program from the xmb and make sure kernel is set to 3.xx.
I have tried launching hellcat from both the xmb and recovery at 1.5 kernel.

I have also tried launching hellcat under 3.xx kernel from both xmb and recovery.

    Help? :\

What's the regular update method? Just renaming the pbp file to EBOOT inside UPDATE?
