Hey, this is for all those guys who cant get chickHEN to run everytime they need it.... no need for the 3-6 or even 14 tries some people have to do to get it to work. Follow these steps exactly and to a "T" as quickly, but EFFICIENTLY, and you would be able to do exploit it everytime even while holding the psp under the desk as you read and follow the steps.

    Turn the psp on.

    Press left 4 times.

    Press down 2 times.

    Press X once.

    Press down 12 times.

    Press X once.

Look at the PSP screen and you should see the system software at: Version 5.03

    Immediately Press O.

    Press left once.

    Press right once.

    Press down once.

    Press right once.

Now put the PSP into Suspend(by sliding the power switch quickly up only once, after the power light turns of and then blinks once, quickly turn it back on. The psp should now be on the Music Memory Stick option.

    Press left once.

Press X once, and ASAP after the "ChickHEN" folder has appeared press X again and wait.

Your PSP should now flash green quickly and show inverted colored wave with lines of white. Your PSP should now restart and is now HEN'd.

This is as simple as it can possibly get to explain how to ChickHEN your psp, please stop posting on how to do it in other threads. If done exactly like so works 100% of the time. Good Luck.

I was having problems with mine, (didn't work after 10+ tries) I finally got it to work by going to pictures, scrolling down to the tiff file, and before it loaded, hit (triangle) to bring up the options menu. and then just wait for it to work its magic

that doesnt work all the time.... its how the memstick is being read by the psp when the tiff is loaded and what files are loaded to the RAM. The method above takes the psp through the steps all in order to load it correctly. E.G. doing steps 1-8 has the psp loading the files in the correct order, and steps 9-13 has the psp load the correct files into RAM, and steps 14 and 15 has the user promptly execute the tiff exploit correctly whilst the correct files loaded in the psp RAM and therefore full stability with ChickHEN. Do it as many times as you'd like I can guarantee it will work everytime if you did the steps exactly as I said.

I did exactly what you said and it still didn't work. :S I even formated my mem stick and it still doesn't work, could I have corrupted files? I downloaded the ones in the admin's topic. I have no idea what else to do.. plus I have no experience in modding psps cause I've never modded one before rofl :l

    X:/PSP/PHOTO/ChickHEN/

    X = your memorystck root

Yes, then I also tried X:/PSP/PICTURES/ChickHEN and then tried it again but just putting the pictures in the /pictures/ folder :S I've tried like over 20 times each time I changed something..

What it exactly does is instead of flashing any colour it just freezes for a few seconds then shuts down. I've tried multiple solutions in other threads but I can't seem to get it working.
    I'm using a PSP-3001 official firmware 5.03 slim

No problem at all, its just that with ChickHEN being so unstable, you have to do it exactly the same way everytime. So if it worked once it will work again. And if you are doing the exact same thing then in retrospect it will always work right
Ill post a vid on how to do it, just give me a sec cuz youtube takes FOREVER

No problem, if I see someone with a problem i can help with I will. I am the type of person that has learned from experience. If I say I can do something Im not lying. And the reason why I know it works is because I was exactly where you are right now, and once I figured it out and moved on I kept in mind what I did. So when your having just a lil trouble and ask nicely for help as you did, I am more then happy to help you. I wont give up until you fully understand how it works so you can run it on your psp without a problem.

    so lets start with:

What is the psp model: PHAT/SLIM/BRIGHT
    (3000)
    and what firmware your on.
