it has been about a few years since ive even turned on my psp because my friend had installed some dumb installation which i have no idea what it was called and it has been to where my firmware is set to 9.99 and my psp wont play umds anymore unless i have devhook installed.

it is a pain having it install it over and over again so does anyone have any solution to where i can just reset my psp back to normal or re install another program back to normal?

i am a noob for sure at this stuff because i gave up on it when he installed this dumb stuff but i have tried the hold R when turning it on and that didnt work, so it would be cool if some people helped me out.
    it would be much appreeshed

If holding the R-Trigger on boot does not produce the Recovery Mode Menu then your on an Official Firmware.Try restoring Default Settings and see if your Firmware changes.
