I recently bought a PSP-3000 (used) because I read about the 5.03 GEN-A and ChickHEN. I was disappointed however that they were only temporary and were wiped upon a full reboot. I do however appreciate the work of all the coders, hackers, and people working on these things.

My question is pretty simple -- will there EVER be a permanent solution to this problem? Is anyone out there working on it? I still have my PSP-1000, but I'd love to be able to get rid of it once a permanent solution to the 3000 comes out.

    Thanks.

Until the the hackers find a way for the TA-088V3+ Motherboards the recognize the Pre-IPL of the CFW there will be no permanent CFW.

We'll just have to wait and see. The answer is always the same; when it happens, you'll hear about it.

There's only one person who really, truly knows the inner workings of the PSP. About a year ago he basically said that he's busy with other things at the moment. He hasn't been seen since. What more do you want really?

I'd encourage you to read the rules for the forum. They're pretty straightforward and there aren't many of them. http://www.pspmod.com/forums/introdu...uncements.html

I completely agree with slowman. when it is done it will be talked about and THEN you can say "i told you so" to all the little stuck up snobs who think the modding world is there at their convenience... And hello? before you ask a stupid question or make a stupid reply... READ!!!!!

Phew... now that i got that off my chest...

Now as DarkFoxSniper said that the problem is to get the motherboard to (Quote: "recognize the Pre-IPL of the CFW"). What if the psp 3000 and GO motherboards no longer operates strictly on IPL at startup? If they use a diffrent coding along with the IPL at startup, it would explain why the CFW wont stick. (Plus it would also be storing a backup copy of the OFW on the motherboard so it has a firmware to use after it overrides the CFW. If we could find a way to block the Backup OFW from overriding the CFW that might solve our problem with both of the systems. (3000 and GO)).

Anyone else think this is well worth looking into?

I dont see a CFW coming, but theres always the possibility of someone figuring out a way , but the big problem is theres not many people working on new CFW at all, the PSP hack scene dying if it isnt dead already...but with the rumors of the new psp2 coming soon, who knows, maybe thatll revive it again

I kinda noticed that it was dying... Kinda sad cuz... well it's just sad. (but i never heard of the rumor of a psp2 going around. I'll look it up.) But if it is true i REALLY hope that they dont make another fail like the GO (and they should include sound reactive led lights in the L & R triggers with an opitional on/off switch).

I won't take it that far, but repeated offenses can actually get you banned. Tread lightly friend.
