5.00 M33 on 3000

is there a way i can install 5.00 m33 on psp 3000 just so because the gen-a is not permanent?

btw whats the difference between the gen-a and xenogears cfwe v3.01

You cannot put 5.00 m33 on a 3k. The pre-ipl does not match what the 3k uses to boot. Trying will completely hose your 3k and make you either have to send it to Sony for repairs or wait for a CFW solution that may never come considering Sony is already releasing a new PSP after just a year of the 3k, which will have onboard storage as well as the ability to use MSM instead of MSPD for additional storage. IF they're using the same IPL as the 3k and ta88v3 MOBO, then maybe it'll happen.

ok you cant put 5.00 m33 cuz you gonna brick your psp and you cant fix it. for the ps1 games install popsloader and btw where do you put the ps1 games

on normal m33 firmware ps1 games go in their own folder in the game folder
there is not much of a difference between them but i would get 5.03gena

since they are eboots i put them under game folder, obvoiously.
when i start the game it quits and says " the game could not be started error 8000004"

i've also put the seplugins folder containin the pops plugins and enabled in the vsh menu.

this is what i did:

1.installed 5.03
2.got chicken r2
3.got gen-a running and can play umd backups
4.created iso file using cdburnerxp
5.converted it into eboot using psx2psp v1.3 (cause latest v1.4.2 crashes)

still no psx

Are you using the right kernal?

psx doesent need kernal, it seems that it wasent converted right,

search google for Devilhook Popstation Studio, that one has a 95% chance of working ps1

ive tried almost every converter there possibly is and still cant get it to work. this is sh*ting my head. seriously....
