Hi there, I got an old psp with CFW, I wish to have the OFW now.

What kind of information do you need to help me out?

What things should I look into my psp?

BTW, I read this thread: http://www.pspmod.com/forums/custom-...faq-guide.html
But I am not sure if I got my psp semi-bricked or not.

Thanks in advance for any kind of help.

    I think I can't.
    I check and:
    System Software 3.71 M33

When I press the SELECT button, a menu appears, it says "M33 VSH MENU"

how do I get to the lastest OFW?

I think it was hacked with the battery method or something, cause the guy who had it before me told me that he formatted the memory stick and that didnt bring the OFW back.

why do you want the latest OFW? Use this to upgrade File Details-Recovery-Flasher-v1.60-PSP - it'll get you ofw if you wish

    How does it work?
Once I download the file, how do I install it into the PSP?

Also, what's the difference between this method and the one described by "justinisloco" in this:

Q: How do I go back to 1.5, in case I Semi-Bricked the PSP?
A: You go into recovery mode, and follow these instructions

This can be used to fix your PSP if it Semi-bricks, as long as you can access the recovery menu.

Download and Extract the RECOVERY folder

    zSHARE - recovery.rar

Copy the RECOVERY folder to PSP/GAME/

Start your PSP in Recovery Mode, then choose "Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP". Read the instructions and press x. This will Downgrade your psp to 1.50 version. Don't shutdown the PSP or remove the memory stick until the update is finished.
Once finished, shutdown the psp and restart manually to 1.50.

if you want to go back to 1.5 why not just install the 1.5 kernel that way you can stay on the cfw and use all the 1.5 homebrew also the diff in this one is this program takes you to any fw you want cfw, ofw, 1.5 and works on cfw and 1.5 it is also safer to use

    the latest is 5.51

PSP Downloads | 5.51 Firmware Update

put the EBOOT.PBP in a folder called UPDATE (capps in all)

then put the UPDATE folder int the PSP/GAME folder so it should look like this

    ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP
