Hey guys i sold my psp to a guy this past weekend, and he said he bricked it. so im trying to help him out, it was a modded 1000 phat and the first thing i made sure of was that he was able to acess the recovery menu and he is. but on start up he described it as being bricked.

so im wondering if because he can acess the recovery menu, should i get him to download mms maker or hellcats recovery flasher, or maybe rains, will he be able to run them in order to unbrick his psp with out a pandora?

still attempting to find an eboot that will work with cats..

hes reporting to reseveing a "critical error" message then the program exits.
hes running from recovery. i believe the firmware version on the psp, was 5.00 or up, CFW. so i would be lookign for a 5.00 CFW eboot and puting it directly in the root? and thats where cats will look?

What Official firmware do you have? go on Google and download the firmware version you have INSTALLED on your psp not the CFW the OFW, name the file to XXX.PBP XXX being the version you downloaded and HAVE on your psp then follow the link for hellcat's recovery.

ON recovery mode toggle USB mode on MEMORY STICK then copy the files to PSP/GAME/RECOVERY, yes all the files the files for hellcat's which is EBOOT.PBP and the XXX.PBP
