07-13-2009, 11:30 PM I have a PSP-2001, with serial AB02 and OFW 4.01. I've read through a few guides and threads and it seems that it MAY be hackable in the future. I just wanted to know if it's safe to upgrade to 5.03 with the prospect of it being modded in the future. because I...I....I'm ashamed to say it.....I BOUGHT a game and it needs my firmware to be upgraded to 5.03.

Edit: I also read somewhere before that I shouldn't use Hellcats recovery on my mobo TA-088v3.
Edit edit: I've figured it out myself. Am I able to play cso's too? And in what event can my psp be bricked?
