Switch from 5.03 gen A to CFWE 3.60

I would like to switch from 5.03 gen to custom firmware enabler 3.60 since it is being constantly updated. any precaution I should take to avoid brick or semi brick my psp 3000?

Is it correct if I do this step;

1) Shut down psp
2) Go to Chicken R2
3) Flash the CFWE file and reboot

Is it okay to flash the file again even after I have flashed Gen A files before or should I need to use some sort of recovery program?

Any advice would be helpful.

once you have a hard reboot (take out your battery while its on), everything is erased.

Then you can flash it again... just did mine tonight twice.
