    Yes.
4.01 M33 is not the latest. You sure you want it? 5.00 M33-6 is the latest, and I can tell you how to update to it without a PC. All you need is Wifi. Still interested?

PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 4.01 M33-2 Update

Extract the update folder to your psp/game folder. Then go to the update in the game menu.

5.00m33-6 is the most up to date though. You can get that on from psp-hacks.com. Same way to upgrade.

He can just use Network Update, but I want to make sure he wants 5.00 and not 4.01.

You don't need to do anything. Do this. I'm assuming you have Wifi.

    Turn off your PSP.
Turn it back on, holding the R-button.
You should be at the recovery menu (black background, red words)
Go to configuration and make sure "M33 Update" is set to ON.
    Now exit the recovery menu.
In the XMB (main PSP menu), go all the way to the left, to Network Update, and use it. It should take you to the latest hacked firmware (5.00 M33-6)

Not everyone has wifi, just as easy to Dl the update through the comp.

Just download 5.00m33 and extract the Update folder to your psp/game folder. You do not have to rename anything. Just go into game sections memory card and click the update.

Well, if you do want to update to 5.00m33-6, then..

Download PSP Downloads | Custom Firmware 5.00 M33-6 Update

Plug in your psp to the comp, or memory stick to the comp and extract the "UPDATE" folder inside the DL to your ms0:\PSP\GAME (Your psps game folder).

Exit Usb, or place the memory stick back into the psp, and go to your game section.

Click the memory stick, then go to the update and click that.
