little help for a return? 5.02 GEN-A Full UG

so i lended my GOW psp to a bud for about 8 months. only to get it back this evening and relise wow im wicked out of date. i want 5.5 GEN B Full (i think is what its called?) but my network update isnt working. which means ill need to manual flash. now if i remember correctly. i dont need to format EVERYTHING i can just put the updfate on my mem stick and fly..however without my psp i havent really keeping up. can someone give me the low down on how to get back upto speed?

sorry i didnt mean not to get back win7 is giving me trouble it doesnt want to play nice with my psp keeps saying before i access my stick i need to format ill get back to you though thnx for the help
