    Okay, last thread was closed probably due to pirate talk. Sorry if i'm spamming too much. i just want a solution, that's all.

    okay, i installed 5.50 GEN-B, but still doesn't work. still showing me this:

    "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

    PSP2002 - Final Fantasy Crisis Core Edition (that's a TA-088v1/v2)
    System Software: 5.50 GEN-B(Full)

    in the GEN Recovery Menu:
    Configuration ->
    -> Game folder homebrew (currently : 5.XX Kernel)
    -> UMD Mode (currently: Normal -UMD required-)
    -> Use VshMenu (currently: Disabled)
    -> XMB USB Device (currently: Memory Stick)

    Advanced -> Advanced configuration -> ALL DISABLED

    No plugins

    thx.

    umm....I bought the game....it's a UMD....so why do i need to change the settings to -NO UMD- mode?

    and i've tried everything in the recovery menu:
    "change umd mode to sony NP9660 or m33 driver...."

    And it's still giving me this error:
    "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

    thx

    80020148 = PRX type unsupported

    idk what to do, maybe reflash your firmware then try, but only if you really want to run from umd

    lol. i downloaded the Filer 6 as you said,
    Copied the filer into my game folder, and it gave that same error:
    "The game could not be started (80020148)"

    hahaha i remembered the error code...

    umm. do i have to change the Game Folder homebrew to 1.5 kernal?

    Yea i have done that, it still doesn't like it.

    What I've done:
    set USB Device to UMD Disk
    Copied the iso from it to my computer
    Set the USB Device back to memory stick
    UMD ISO Mode is on M33 driver
    then copied the iso on the computer to my memory stick
    And run it, still same error:

    "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

    I tried all the UMD ISO mode.

    Do you reckon it could be a faulty UMD? Cause i recently got it (like 2 days ago). I'm going to try out my friend's UMD of it, and if it works using my friends, then it has to be my UMD.

    if that dont work you may have to reflash your firmware

    I just got news:
    Apparently Dissidia has got a new security protocol in built the UMD.
    I THINK!
    But i heard ppl managed to get into the game.

    somehow...

    So any ideas how to get rid of that security? xD
