I recently Modded my sons psp 2000 to 5.00 m33-6 firmware. Before doing this I carefully read many forums on modding and according to what I read, it was not supposed to negitivly affect the psp in any way, just unlock hidden features. Well after doing so (using a pandora battery and majic memstick) the UMD would no longer work, when a game was inserted the UMD drive would run for a few seconds then wind down then start up again, it would do this over and over but the game wouldn't start. Games that were on a memory stick would not play, got the (80020321) error message.
I corrected that by going into the recovery menue and dissabling the umd drive. That seems to have corrected that problem, kinda, My son still wants to be able to use the UMD drive since alot of his friends have psp's and lend each other their UMD games.
Can anybody please help me with this? If The problem can't be fixed can I go back to the original Sony firmware, and how would be the best way to do that? Thanks in advance.

Thank you.....Very Much......I found the download site. Now do I just download this to my memory card and insert into my psp with the pandora battery? Anything else I need to Know? What are the steps involved? Will it just overwrite the CF on there? I'm a noob so all the help you can give me is appreciated.

no pandora needed, all you do is extract the hellcats program, put the recovery folder in your game folder on the memory stick...but you need to place the 500.pbp eboot into the recovery folder also for it to install...
    500.pbp file
