Because this Preps a memcard aswell to be a Magic Memory stick, theres been posts of nebies fouling up an flashing bricking and SOL that are without a card reader. this goes thru creating an Magic Memory stick to be used with an Pandora battery. THIS IS NOT THE MOST CONVIENT WAY.

the extra steps here taking a person in creating an MMS IF you dont Want/need for one , then dont come crying "whaaa i bricked and cant make a Magic memory stick plz help me!"

If you want a quick and easy wya to goto 5.00 M33 w/o the tedious steps here use Hellcats Recovery flasher 1.60

if you want a quickway to got 5.50 GENB-2 use XGEN Updater 2/ Xgen Updater V2 (Pandora method)

everyone wants Fast , gogogo do it now methods. but what if this is your only PSP? what if you have no one who will repair it if you screw up for free/cheap? i pefeer a "Plan B" to save my ass when i can This give syou a Plan B you want the quick and easy way just Use Hellcats.

as Noted by xavis, This isnt necessary. as grabbing the 5.00 OFW pbp+ the 5.00 M33 installer + the 5.00 M33-6 update is the quickest route However.

thiis preps a beginner with DCv8, and if they Ignore both where i say to follow this to a tee or Not intterupt its flashing/manual power off when its done, they simply full power down (pull battery out and back in holding the button they select for DCv8) to recover.

basicly SHOULD they brick it secures a way to "save thier bacon." as the saying goes

For those who dont have Wifi to use Network Update.
Simply,

download PSP Tool. and the official firmware 5.00 pbp file copy the pbp file to the root of the memory stick and rename it to 500.pbp.

run PSPTool, when it is up select memory stick options, Create Magic Memory Stick, "Despertar del Cementerio v8(5.00 M33-4)

it'll say a lil bit of info just press O Back, (for me it alerts its allready setup but it shouldnt for you, if it does select yes) after a bit it'll make files it needs,

after awhile it'll ask you to press a key (keys) to use to boot from the MMS (i use L for that you may use what you please)

boom your MMS is made

Now. boot your psp (manual power down and up)
and select Install 5.00 M33 and it will flash everything when its dont BE SURE TO PRESS THE BUTTON IT SAYS TO REBOOT OT ELSE YOU WILL BRICK!!!!..

then grab the 5.00 M33-6 update here File Details-CFW-5.00-M33-6-PSP - to go from 5.00 M33-4 to -6

if you do this as instructed theres No chance of bricking. interrupting it flashing OR manually powering off when the MMS finishes flashing files is what will brick you.

yes though this does prep if they actually manage to ignore "BE SURE TO PRESS THE BUTTON IT SAYS TO REBOOT OT ELSE YOU WILL BRICK!!!!.. " or "interrupting it flashing OR manually powering off when the MMS finishes flashing files is what will brick you"

that way they cant go crying "Wahhhh i fucked up and im SOL what do i do!?"

Again geek this isnt Just covering flashing YES there are easier ways.

However, this is securing thier PSP INCASE they brick. durring or future updates (should DA release a 6.xx M33 or gen w/ 6.00 GEN-a

if they brick during an update (extremely unlikely) then if its a semibrick then can use hellcats to unbrick it and fix it, whenever you are installing there are always a slim chance of bricking, your guide however requires a mms and pandora, not convenient at all for most

*bonks on your head* Did i say this is teh conveint or easy way ? NO.
this is a Safeguard method. this forum has seen the few noobs that f**k up so bad its a full brick. this will save their ass incase they full brick on a hackable Pre TA88V3 slimand all Phats. if they want an easy way. then hellcats for M33 if they want eays way to GEN B2 then Xgen. however if they screw up they wont have a pre-made MMS to fall back on.

the purpose of my guide was to create a Failsafe Should they brick/semibrick to where they cant run hellcats!

don't take this the wrong way, we reason we are hassling you is for your own and anyone who needs its good, your tutorial says newbie guide for updating earlier m33 cfw, the earliest m33 cfw I believe is 3.52, which from there is a quick jump to 3.71 which lets you install hellcats, simply put this guide should be titled, how to fix a brick if updating, or even simpler how to make a mms with a cfw psp if you should brick while updating

i've tried Changing the post title , didnt stick. since this is going to end in a flame war, edit the title lock or Just delete which some moderate is going to do by the end of the day.
