ofw 6.00 upgrade by accident

The problem here is that one of my friends bought a PSP-2006 with a TA088v3 mb shipped with ofw 5.00. Her dumb guy friend accidentally upgraded to ofw 6.00 via a UMD disc, with no concrete knowledge about cfw.

I understand that TA088v3 is the unhackable PSP type and I have been searching thru the net but have yet to find any solutions to this problem. Anyone out there have any idea how is it possible to undo the upgrade firmware (6.00) to the last installed (5.00), so as Chick-HEN can be installed.

if it's the unhackable and now at 6.0, there's no way to fix that...cause you'd have to use a pandora once your firmware version is over 5.03...chickhen only works at that level firmware grade. sorry to tell u the bad news, tell the guy who did it to keep it and buy you a new 2nd hand psp that's hackable

eidt...just checked the guides on your mother board for verification, yup that guy screwed her over on the psp...it's now stuck on ofw

I have done the verification that Pandora battery is not supported on TA088v3. Have tried all MS pandora packs but the PSP display just can't light up with the menu. sighzz...

ain't there any possibility in just recovering the last installed fw, in this case ofw 5.00; or undo the ofw upgrade?

There is ZERO that you can do right now. Nothing. You're stuck on 6.00 OFW for the forseeable future.
